BEXO paintings are collaborations between sisters Rexo Droppers and Betni Kalk. Betni is a designer, painter, muralist and graphic design professor. Rexo is a musician, photographer and painter.Their first step is to create textured backgrounds with lots of drips and sprays to activate the acrylic. They tend to work on 2-4 paintings at once, going back and forth between them as they discuss next steps for the pieces. At times they add imagery, sometimes they feel the paintings are finished as purely abstract.
